Introduction of Regulated Area Tanda (Ambedkar Nagar)

Introduction

            Tanda is a rich historical city of Uttar Pradesh State in Faizabad Division of India. It is the administrative head quarter of Tanda Tehsil of District Ambedkarnagar. Tanda city is established by Raja Syed Mohammad Hayat on the bank of the Ghgra river in 1714 A.D. The city is about 197 Km. east of Lucknow, coordinates 26.550N and 82.650E. Elevation is 78m (256 ft). Tanda is an industrial city famous for its Tanda Terricot clothes. It is well connected by rail and road to major cities of the State and country. As data of 2011 census, the Tanda urban agglomeration had a population of 195516, with 103623 males and 91893 females.

Regulated Area

            For well planned development of the Tanda town Uttar Pradesh State Government had declared the area under the border of Tanda Nagar Palika and Urbanizable area under nearby 33 revenue villages of Tehsil Tanda then District Faizabad as Tanda Regulated Area by the notification No. 488/IX-A-3-92-3R.A.-92 Lucknow, Dated June 04, 1992.
