Introduction of Regulated Area Sitapur (Sitapur)

Sitapur is a developing district of uttar pradesh, which is situated in Lucknow commissionaire. Sitapur town; as a district headquarter, has been emerged as a important industrial, commercial and institutional hub. Sitapur town is famous for “Sitapur Eye Hospital and PAC area” and it play an important role for providing services for agriculture sector and its complementary sectors. This town have great opportunity for tourism sector due to nearness of Naimshyaranya-Mishrikh holy pilgrimage.

Sitapur town is well connected with the whole country through Railways. Sitapur Railway station is an important station for Northern Railways and Eastern Railways. Shahjanhpur, Balamau, Lucknow, Lakhimpur, Pilibhit, barabanki and Gonda have direct railway route to sitapur town. Sitapur town has directly connected to Lucknow and Shahjahanpur via NH-24; and Lakhimpur, Biswan and Hardoi district via SH-21.

Sitapur and Khairabad Nagar Palika and adjacent 57 villages of Sitapur district had declared as Regulated area by the Government of Uttar pradesh on the date of 27th June of 1992.

City Magistrate, sitapur has been declared as competent authority by Housing Department via G.O. 3969/9-A-3-97-2-R.A./91 dated 16-01-1998. He regulates the development activities in regulated area ad his also competent authority to sanction the plan, permission for construction and requisite action against illegal construction. Town and country planning department declared as agency by the government via G.O. no 13878/9-A-3-97-10maha/97 dated 10-07-1993 for preparation of Master Plan. Town and Country Planning department prepared Sitapur Master Plan 2021, which had accepted by the Government via Go. No.- 2081/9-A-3-02-10maha/97 dated 14-06-2002.
