Introduction
Shravasti is a historical and Archaeological tourist place of Uttar Pradesh State in Devipatan Division of India, which is situated on the border of district Shravasti and Balrampur at revenue village Katra (Sahet-Mahet) in the Ikauna Tehsil of District Shravasti. Shravasti is located on the bank of Rapti (Achirawati) river. Shravasti is about 170 Km. North-East of Lucknow, coordinates 27051'N and 82005'E. Shravasti is well connected by road to major cities of the State and country. As data of 2011 census, the Shravasti agglomeration had a population of 5884.
Regulated Area
For well planned development of the Shravasti town Uttar Pradesh State Government had declared the area under the border of Urbanizable area under nearby 02 revenue villages of Tehsil Balrampur and Tehsil Ikauna then District Bahraich as Shravasti Regulated Area by the notification No. 2640/XXXVII-3-84/119-N.K.V.-78 Lucknow, Dated July 26, 1984 and 3448/9-A-3-98-199N.K.V./78 Lucknow, Dated December 15, 1998 .
Master Plan's Status
Shravasti Master Plan approved by Uttar Pradesh Government is effective in Regulated Area Shravasti at present.
