Pilibhit is a developing city of western uttar pradesh which is situated in the sub himalayan belt on the international boundary of Nepal. Pilibhit city is a part of Bareilly commissionary and is developing as a commercial, industrial and community facility hub. the city is 262 kms from state capital Lucknow, 58 kms from bareilly and 64 kms from tanakpur. It is well connected with SH23, SH26 and SH29 and also the the rail network.
Govt of Uttar Pradesh has notified the area as Pilibhit Regulated Area by order no. 1027/37-3-86-7 R.A./84 dated 28th june 1986 for its planned development. Further the master plan – 2011 is prepared for the regulated area keeping the base as 2.10 lacs projected population which is approved by the govt order no 89/A-3-98-7 maha/87 dated 28th May 1998.
