Narora is located on the banks of river Ganges, in district Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh. A nuclear power plant is located in its vicinity. Narora is home to one of the nation's network of nuclear power plants, operated by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), a public sector undertaking under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.
As of 2001 India census, Narora had a population of 20,376. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%.
