Maghar-Khalilabad are twin towns situated on the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh in India. Sant Kabir Nagar is the name of the District. Sant Kabir spent his lost days in prayer and preaching at Maghar. This has become a religious town for the followers of Sant Kabir. Khalilabad is situated 8 K.M west of Maghar and famous for Handloom Industry. In ancient times diciples of Lord Buddha were robbed here while coming from Lumbini. That is how the name “marg har” came to be which later on distorted with time and became maghar. For Shiv Bhakt people this was the way of Lord Shiva i.e. way of knowledge.
