Introduction of Regulated Area Kopaganj (Mau)

Introduction:-

Kopaganj is a oldest town in Mau district, Uttar Pradesh named by the name of Queen Kopeshwari devi, the grand mother of Dhandaie Kunwer, which located at 260 02'N and 83260 57'E. It has an average alevation of 66 meter (217 fit). As of 2011india census Kopaganj had a population of 55233 with the 28168 male and 27063 female. The average literacu rate is 77%. It is located at national highway 29, 11 kilometer towards north from district headquarter Mau and 105, 100, 82, 50, 360 KM. respectively from Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Ballia, Azamgarh, state capital Lucknow. It is a railway station at Indara-Doharighat rail route.

Regulated Area:-

For planned development of Kopaganj has disided Regulated Area by the Government Order- 2065/9-आ-3-94-10 आर.ए.-92, dated- 29-11-1994. At present it has no master plan.
