Introduction
Gonda is a rich historical city of Uttar Pradesh State in Devipatan Division of India. It is the administrative head quarter of Devipatan Division and District Gonda. The city is about 125 Km. North-East of Lucknow, coordinates 27.130N and 81.930E. Elevation is 120m (390 ft). Gonda City is well connected by rail and road to major cities of the State and country. As data of 2011 census, the Gonda urban agglomeration had a population of 138929, with 71425 males and 67454 females.
Regulated Area
For well planned development of the Gonda town Uttar Pradesh State Government had declared the area under the border of Gonda Nagar Palika and Urbanizable area under nearby 34 revenue villages of Tehsil Gonda, District Gonda as Gonda Regulated Area by the notification No. 190/IX-A-3-93-2-R.A.-88 Lucknow, Dated March 23, 1993.
